today's the best “first day” of school I've ever had. ((: how does that sound?
Task 1: take the class' attendance.
it really isnt such a bad idea to return from a long medical leave, on the school's sports day. I was gladly met with well wishes like, “HEY! YOU'RE BACK! How’s the pox?” and... “awwe GEN! how's the pox?” and... more of “how's the pox” to come.
I was having a terrible feeling about being there until I offered my service – to be a judge for the 4x100m relay. you know, it really makes a difference if we participate because time would while off faster than if we lazed around the compound. anyhow, I thought jie maybe delighted to know that I was in Mr. Chan WC's group and I told him that Sandra Tan’s my cousin. Haha! Yea, I’m extremely proud of that (I bet that woman must be grinning like a loony now). ((: judging wasn’t the most tedious job you could find today cause when I saw the faces of some of the runners, it was as if they were grasping for that one last breath before they collapse to the ground.
Task 3: sun block for the teachers??

A BIG THANK YOU to michelle ang ming li for being my make-up artist. the daring blue star on my left eye surely attracted awkward glances and many more stares in town. haha. Singaporeans did try means just to get a glimpse of what’s displayed on my face but I'm not too sure if it was glamorous or shameful. oh well! honestly, I did like some of the attention but my mum was bursting into laughter whenever she spotted someone’s shocking reaction. ha. that's my mum.
after all that hype, Jen and I went to watch “Unfortunate Events” at cine and lunched at deli. woohoo! the movie rocked lots – even though it's rather nightmarish, I thought there was a deeper meaning to it. ((: something that the author said amazed me and it's something like, “if you already know how it feels to lose a loved one, it probably very painful. but if you have not, the feeling is incomprehensible.”
like WHOA.
ok. Now I’ve really gotta go cause I have work to complete by tonight.
how I miss the stress! yayy!
